The twelve beats
Every beat carries a simple truth on screen and a quiet why beneath it. Nothing is claimed as live, deployed or proven; the whole film is a designed concept. Jump to any beat from here.
One film, four audiences
The mechanism is canonical and does not change. The audience wrapper changes only the opening line, the twelfth caption and the closing line, so the same film can be sent to an economic buyer, an investor or a technical reader without becoming three films.
| Audience | Opening line | Twelfth caption | Closing line |

Evidence ledger
What the film shows, what it is allowed to claim, and where each statement stands. This ledger is part of the artefact so that anyone who receives the film can see the register it was made in.
| On screen | Status | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Existing media handles and reporting survive unchanged. | designed | The asset ID, the reporting chart and the dashboard are drawn unchanged from beat 2 to beat 9. This is a design commitment, not a description of a live system. |
| Provenance is captured at source and travels with the work. | designed | Drawn as a seal on the asset and a ledger of claims (created, edited, reviewed). The concept assumes content credentials on open standards. No product is named or claimed. |
| Channels stack their touchpoints on one golden path. | designed | Organic, call centre and email are generic channel names. The widening band is the visual of context accreting; there is no data behind it. |
| Contribution made visible, machine and human. | designed | The gauges carry no numbers by rule. Balance is a design intent, not a measurement. |
| Capital can follow evidence. | proposition | Stated first as mechanism, in words: work attributable, decisions auditable, context reusable. Then the evidence card, below. |
| Up to 70% workflow throughput gain under orchestration. Up to 20% incremental return on marketing spend. | observed · own measurement | Ian Daniels' own measurement, aggregated across two years of orchestrated marketing workflows and use cases. The return figure was measured on marketing spend, not on wider programme cost. Stated as observed, with "up to". Brands are withheld by design; testimonials from people on those teams are available on request. Not an independent audit. |
| Only decision-ready meaning crosses the boundary. Humans govern the exceptions. | designed | The boundary line, the signal card and the steward gate are the governance shape of the proposition. The steward is a ring with three points, never a face. |
| The pattern that rises at the end. | drawn from the pattern | Drawn by the same generator as the 9 September elevation of the Steward Pattern: the same shells, ribs, rings, oculus, pods, star and ring of eight. Nothing is added to the surface grammar; only the colours are the film's. The standing-up of the rail is a film device. |
| No faces, no logos, no client or vendor names, no call to action. | rule | Carried through V01, V02 and V03. The invented labels are ast_7f3a, northharbour and campaign q4. The one exception to "no metrics" is the evidence card in beat 7, recorded above, which shows Ian's own observed figures and nothing else. |
The 15 September review, and what V03 did with it
V02 was reviewed by ChatGPT (GPT-5.6 Sol) on 15 September 2026 with shared working context. The review found the architecture right and asked for economic translation. Each finding is listed with the response.
| Finding | Response | What changed |
|---|---|---|
| Refine, do not expand. The order of disclosure is right for a cold economic audience. | adopted | One beat was added and nothing else was grown. Beats 1 to 6 and 8 to 12 are V02 with two caption edits. |
| The missing bridge from proof to economics: work attributable, decisions auditable, context reusable, capital follows evidence. | adopted | New beat 7, "Capital can follow evidence", placed after contribution is visible and before the boundary, exactly where the review asked for it. |
| Put the prior-work figures on screen with a small qualifier. | adopted, qualified | An evidence card appears late in beat 7, after the mechanisms, with the measure named on screen and the source line stating own measurement, brands withheld. The figures are Ian's own, confirmed on 15 September; the card is a single switch in the source. |
| Open on the economic problem; close with "repeat what works" and the name. | adapted | The opening and closing lines live in the audience wrappers so the canonical film stays neutral. The name stays off the canvas and on this page. |
| Keep the mechanism canonical and vary the front and tail for economic, investor and technical audiences. | adopted | Four wrappers in one file, selectable on the start screen or by link. |
| Do not load the explainer with the full protocol grammar. | adopted | The film shows the pattern's surface only. Deeper disclosure belongs to the elevated pattern page, linked from the attestation below. |
| "Don't replace it. Make it attestable." | adopted | Beat 2's caption now ends "Nothing is replaced; it becomes attestable." |
| Obtain independent challenge before production lock. | open | This page is the V03 draft for that challenge. Production lock waits on the evidence gate above. |
